The delivery of your 12/12/2006 upgrade key represents some key changes.

1. Your license key now has an entitlement code. This entitlement code is the preferred method for communications with Etnus concerning your licenses.

2. Your new TotalView license keys are now based on dates instead of TotalView versions. A license key unlocks all versions of TotalView released prior to the expiration date of the maintenance contract on the license. If the maintenance contract expires, the key will continue to function but will not unlock new versions released after the maintenance expiration date.

For example, suppose the maintenance contact on an entitlement code expires 12/15/2008. The license key you receive for the entitlement code today will unlock all versions of TotalView that come out in the next 2 years. This means you don't have to re-install licenses every time a new version of TotalView comes out! You only install licenses as often as you renew your maintenance contract.

3. The new TotalView keys are not binary compatible with older versions of TotalView. For more information see this FAQ
