running totalview on 64 bit linux to debug 32 bit apps

Is this possible - do I need the 64 bit totalview downloads or the 32 bit one ?

Assuming this is Linux, you need the 64 bit TotalView, which will debug the 32 bit application just fine. In fact the 32 bit TotalView will not run on a 64 bit system.
