Hi,

I,m trying attached a control calendar activex to my application.

I,m using an ActiveX Control Adapter in the interface and try to link with the Control Calendar 8 of windows (MSCAL.OCX) 64 bits as i,m using win7 64. This ActiveX is registered and i have tried to use in MO Excell 2010 and everything was ok. However, in Ilog always rises an error when loading it. Next are shown images about what i do.

174175

As it can be seen, it shows a window with an error and at the left button says

"Cant initialize the new instance of IlvGraphicComAdapter".

Any suggestion.

Thank very much for your help.

Hi,

The attached screenshots don't show what you are talking about ("Cant initialize the new instance of IlvGraphicComAdapter").

Do you have the same error with any ActiveX, or only with this "Calendar Control 8.0"?

Arnaud

Hi,

Hey yes, the second picture shows the error at the left button of the image. Also, it,s shows an error image that traduction is "The operation was correctly complete". It is an error message but it says that was ok, but nothing appears on the form.

I can attached some activex, but not others. Calendar is one of those that can not.

Thank you very much.

Hi,

Ok, I see. Are you sure that all necessary dll are available in your path?

Hello,

I don,t know wich libraries i need. I have the mscal.ocx(Control calendar 8 activex) y c:/windows/System32 and c:/windows/SysWOW64 as i don,t know which is the right one for Ilog(though think is 64). I have also registered both them with the regsvr32 windows application.

That is all i have tried up to now for the control calendar 8, and i cannot attached it to a ilog views form.

Any suggestion.

Thanks.

Hi,

For using an ActiveX, its dll needs to be accessible in the path. That could explain why it works for some ActiveX (which have their dll in the path) and not for some other.
Can you set your path to include the directory that contains the activeX dll before launching studio and try again? Is the result the same?

Arnaud

Hi,

Yes i had already done what you suggested.

Ilvpath = C:\Windows\sysWOW64;C:\Windows\System32; (between other paths)

path = C:\Windows\sysWOW64;C:\Windows\System32; (beteween other paths)

The active x control mscal.ocx stored in those both directories and i have registered both them througth regsvr32.

Any other suggestion.

Thank you very much indeed for your time.

Hi,

I have not a lot of other ideas. Have you tested that your ActiveX is useable in another context (for instance, in Visual Studio) ?

Arnaud

Yes, i did it in Microsoft Excel and works perfectly.

I cannot not think of anything else. So you?

Thank you anyway for your interest.

Thanks again.

I have no other immediate idea. The only solution would be to submit the case to support.
