You may have noticed that the final version (for x86) of the .NET 2.0 SDK was released yesterday (10/27) by Microsoft.

With regards to the IMSL C# product, this is not yet a supported platform; however, internal testing has revealed no problems. If any of you encounter issues related to the new release of the .NET Framework, please let us know.

There is one minor catch on the installation. If you run setup.exe off the CD on a machine that does not have .NET 1.1 installed, you will get a dialog box regarding .NET v1.1.4322, and prompt you do download that version. You do not need to do this. Just cancel out of the install, then browse to the root directory of the CD. Double-click on the .msi file to install.

Yesterday, the .NET 2.0 runtime appeared on the Windows Update list. All tests using the current builds of the IMSL C# Numerical Library continue to pass on this platform, and so there is no worry with regards to upgrading the runtime for an application that calls IMSL.
