View Full Version : IMSL 6.0 Evaluation, but need license on running?

Hi, one more problem about the installation. Since I can't configure Visual C++ 6.0 to run IMSL yet, I temporarily used command line to test the library. I've installed the libraries using evaluation code 999999.

Here is what I did:
1. run vcvars32.bat found in VC98 library.
2. "cd %CNL_EXAMPLES%" & "cd validate" to find cmath.c
3. cl cmath.c %LINK_CNL%

Now compile and link is successful.

Then I type cmath.exe, and an dialog comes up and says:
Flexible License Manager
Error overriding LM_LICENSE_FILE: cannot find license file.
The license files (or license server system network addresses) attemped are listed below: Use LM_LICENSE_FILE to use a different license file, or contact your software provider for a license file.
license path: C:\flexlm\license.dat
FLEXnetLicensing error:-1,212. System Error: 2 ""
For further information, ........

Can anyone help me about this? Isn't this suppose to be an evaluation version?

If you are set up an eval, you should have received a temproary license key to eval CNL 6.0. If not you need to contact your VNI sales rep in order to get one. You can call 713-784-3131 and go to the sale department menu.

Once you get your temporary feature line, save it into a file called IMSL_LICENSE.LIC into the folder that is pointed to by the environment variable, %LM_LICENSE_FILE%. You should then be able to run the sample program.
