The Windows versions (compatible with the LF90 and Intel Fortran compilers) of PDE2D 9.0 are now available, see
www.vni.com/products/affiliated/PDE2D_ProductPage.php.
The Linux and Sun versions will be ready soon.
The main new feature of PDE2D 9.0 is a Graphical User Interface, which probably makes PDE2D the most user-friendly program in existence for solving general PDE systems, in 0D, 1D and in a wide range of simple 2D and 3D regions. For completely general 2D regions you will still need to use the PDE2D interactive driver rather than the GUI.
If you want to see if PDE2D can solve your problem, send me a complete mathematical description (sewell@math.utep.edu) and I will be happy to try to set it up and send you the results.
