How to modify variable value in debug mode

Hi,
I am executing my pv-wave code in Eclipse debug mode and I have put a breakpoint in the code and I am using the Debug perspective to view all the variables up to that point. Now, I am trying to modify the variable, I used the change variable function when you do the right click, but the new variable doesn't take effect at all. Please advice.

I am using Eclipse 3.4. PV-Wave 9.0

Modifying variable values is not supported in the current version of the debugger plugin.
