Visual Numerics is pleased to announce the availability of version PV-WAVE 9.01e as a patch release. The 9.01e patch, to be installed into an existing PV-WAVE 9.01 installation directory, is available for all supported PV-WAVE platforms. We encourage all existing customers to download (here) (http://www.vni.com/products/wave/pvwave/patches.php) and install the patch at their earliest convenience.

The following new routines have been added to the PV-WAVE Standard Library:

WHEREFIRST returns the index of the first 1 in an array of 1?s and 0?s
CORRELOGRAM plots either autocorrelation function (ACF) values or partial autocorrelation function (PACF) values associated with data from a time series
ERRCHECK makes it very easy to do exhaustive error checking in PV-WAVE functions or procedures


The following PV-WAVE routines have been modified:

RBFIMSCL (radial basis function interpolator) was enhanced to efficiently accommodate irregular data domains
INDEX_CONV, added a new Dims keyword
NEIGHBORS, added a new Dims keyword and made significant performance enhancements for large datasets
BLOB, added a new In1d keyword and made significant performance enhancements for large datasets
BLOBCOUNT, added a new In1d keyword and made significant performance enhancements for large datasets
CLUSTBOX, added new keywords Refi, Irrg and Verb


The content of this patch release includes fixes for the following issues:

Reading an XDR string from an XDR file blocked any further reading of the file
On Windows when using dual monitors, the returned mouse positions in the second monitor were incorrect
Using the /Landscape keyword on the DEVICE command with the WMF driver caused a reset of the paper size
Significant performance improvements for graphical output on Windows
Corrected the documentation for BAR3D; the correct name for keyword ColorArray is Individual_Colors
Updated and corrected the documentation for SOCKET_READ
