View Full Version : path folder does not exist

WAVE is setting !path to directories that don't exist. Why? And how can I delete these directories?

When I start WAVE (8.00), I print the path:

WAVE> print, !path
C:\install\vni\wave\demo\basics;C:\install\vni\wav e\demo\applications\arl\lib;

These two directories don't exist, so why is WAVE adding them?! Are they removed in the latest WAVE version?

I think it is tied to these two PV-WAVE environmental variables:

WAVE> print, getenv('wave_demo')
WAVE> print, getenv('wave_arl')

Where is !path initialized? And most importantly, do missing directories degrade the path search performance (i.e., slower speed)?

Interesting find, these still exist in the latest version. I'll file a defect to remove them, but I really wouldn't worry about performance issues with two directories added to your path. If they really bother you, put a command in your wave startup file overwriting the path...

!path = 'path1;path2;...'
