pde2d.pre problem

I am re-installing PDE2D in a new 64-bit Redhat workstation under Enterprise version 5.
when I tried to run the interactive driver, pde2d test1, I received the following error message

pde2d.pre: error while loading shared libraries: libg2c.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

how do I get this library?

Dear Dr. Lin,

I think I know what the problem is. I compiled the interactive driver without
the -static switch, which means you have to have this library on your system to run the executable. More recent versions were compiled with the g77
-static switch to avoid this, why don't you send me an e-mail to sewell@math.utep.edu and I will send you a new executable, which should work ok even if you don't have libg2c.so.0 there. But I need to make sure I compile the right version, you are running PDE2D 8.6, correct?
